So Amazon.com offered me an internship. That’s ridiculously exciting. Like wow, how on earth did i get that? Of course the answer is that there isn’t anything on Earth.
So now I need to figure out if I’m gonna take it.
I guess i ought to dump a little core as to why this isn’t an easy decision.
God has been ridiculously amazing in my life for the past 2 months (and before, but yeah) I’ve seen so much growth through the Austin Stone, especially with my discipleship with John Murchison and recently Mark Telschow’s community group. I want that to continue over the summer, and 2000 miles would be a bit of a barrier. I’m really, really excited about my roommates next year, and I know for a fact Ross is gonna be in town, and I want to hang out with him, and by hang out I mean train for the Freescale marathon next February. I have 63 hours left to graduate, and 4 semesters to do it in. So summer school would be profitable.
Now the other hand. Sophomores don’t get internships with big name companies. Word on the street is Seattle is ridiculously fun. I know at least 3 people going to Seattle over the summer. I’d be getting paid…maybe a lot. If I take this, I will have a huge boost to my resume that could be leverage to an awesome internship next year (IBM Extreme Blue, Microsoft, IBM LTC)
In conclusion, I don’t have a conclusion.
